Milight - Warm white or Cold white?

I have both, but I must say I would definitely recommend using warm white in places like the living room or bed room. Even if it is not that bright (I am using the 9W RGBW warm white), it gives you a way nicer atmosphere than the cold white.

I have one cold white 9W RGBW in my office, but always switch to a color because I don't like the... hm.. how should I put it... coldness of the cold white. :)

Milight + Android = Fun

I recently bought a set of Milight (aka Limitless LED, Mi-Light, Easybulb) bulbs including the Wifi bridge. It is really easy to configure and a great value for money. Goal: Since I am operating a CR11S Android box, I thought it would be great to control my lights with the box. The website  http://www.limitlessled.com/dev gives you an overview of commands you can send to the box via UDP. What you need: Milight bulbs + wifi controller Android device (e.g. CR11S) Tasker  UDP Sender How it is done: I have two bulbs in the living room (group 1 and 2) and one in my bed room (group 3) and I've set up the following things: The perfect light for watching TV Switch group 1 off, set group 2 to orange and start Netflix Tasker XML file: PerfectTVLight.xml Good night Switch on group 3 and group 1, wait for 7 minutes then turn off group 1, 2 and put the Android box into standby. Aqara Temperatur- und Feuchtigkeitssensoren + Home Assistant + Google Assistant

Ich nutze nun schon seit einiger Zeit Temperatur- und Feuchtigkeitssensoren von Aqara. Gemeinsam mit einem Aqara Hub sind diese einfach zu installieren und können mittels der Xiaomi Home App auch ganz einfach übers Smartphone ausgelesen werden. Die Batterien der Sensoren halten so zirka 6-8 Monate, kommt aber darauf an wo die Sensoren platziert sind und welche Batterien man kauft. Man kann die Sensoren auch in in Home Assistant integrieren. Hier können die Sensoren einfach über HomeKit in Home Assistant hinzugefügt werden. Achtung: der Aqara Hub muss dazu natürlich HomeKit unterstützen. Die Installation und Konfiguration ist recht selbsterklärend. Grundsätlich können die Sensoren soweit ich weiß nicht direkt in Google Assistant angezeigt werden - zumindest nicht mit dem Hub den ich habe. Über Home Assistant klappt es aber dann doch wieder recht einfach in dem man die Sensoren für Google Assistant verfügbar macht.
